Judith Miller
among the Punished "Messengers"

Foreign Reporters Facing the Judges

The case that involved Judith Miller, of the US daily "The New York Times", and her fellow journalist Matthew Cooper, of "Time" magazine, is analysed from beggining to end, including the impact it had on similar cases on other countries.

Besides this case, others were recorded in the United States between 2002 and 2005, involving journalists from the Associated Press, the TV stations CNN and WJAR-TV, and the newspapers "Los Angeles Times", "The Washington Post", "The Clarion-Ledger", "The Scranton Times", "The Tribune", "The York Dispatch" e "York Daily Record".

Situations occurred in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Ethiopia, Ireland, Paraguay and the UK are also gathered here, showing that the journalists' professional secrecy has been under attack the world over.
